Crown Princess B2B Caribbean Cruise - Belize - 2011

This was our 4th time to Belize so we were looking for something different to do. We decided on Cave Tubing. Here is the tour description:

The guides narration along the route interprets the Belizean culture and history, ecosystems, geological formations, villages, farms and folklore. Once you arrive, you will spend 30-45 minutes walking the herbal medicinal trail. Visit the "fertility cave" a dry cave where fruit bats hang around, see natural formations, the walk continues to the first of 2 wet cave systems, tube/ floatation jacket in hand and helmet-flashlight on your head. The guide leads a rainforest walk stopping along the trail to talk about the flora-fauna and our traditional uses. Partake of our "jungle buffet" allspice, termites, cohune nuts etc". At cave 4 arrival the guide assists the guest in entering the river and connects the guest tubes together in a mini train style, here we connect tube to tube using ready made tube links, no need to link feet under arm like others do, now its time to relax, seated comfortably in a river run tube with a head rest and enjoy the ride and the scenery. Floating through cave 4 takes approximately 35 minutes then an open river with a small rapid takes you into pitch black cave 3; with the headlamps you see many formations and hear stories of our ancestors mythology. The float through this cave is for 40 minutes then you exit the caves and the float continues for another 20 minutes downstream observing the rainforest and listening to the songs of birds and a light wind rustling the leaves. At this point its time to walk 2 minutes to the Van and prepare for the return drive. There are a lot of different companies that offer this. I honestly don't remember which one we used. I remember one called Butt's Up, but don't remember if that was the one I went with after researching. I imagine they are all very good. I just noticed that on my vest it says VIV Tours.
