Sea Day – Feb 19
Another typical sea day for us. We did have lunch in the dining room and sat with some interesting people. One man and his 97-year-old mother we had sat with before.
We tried to find out the table number for our new assigned table (we asked to change since he was the worst waiter in the dining room). We were told they couldn’t handle that at lunch, and it would be taken care of it when we arrive for dinner.
It was a formal night, but I don’t think that many got the memo. Very few were dressed up tonight. (not that we care, but we may as well quit bringing fancy clothes) The four of us show up and they act confused for a bit about the table change, but soon it was figured out and we were taken to a table for 6 (we asked for a table for 8). It’s an oblong table instead of round so, a bit harder to talk to everyone, but the service is good. One other couple has been at that table since Fort Lauderdale. So, we will be the table of 6. They are from Canada as are Roy and Rondi and Gwen and Doug are a very interesting younger couple.
We needed to do a couple of loads of
laundry (gentle things that can’t really be sent out) so we did that and went
to the late show. We caught a bit of the Cher trivia in between loads. Very
high energy performer, vocalist Nathan Foley who also played a few instruments.
We enjoyed him, but we would have preferred to see him for the early show and
not get all amped up before having to go back and get and early to bed for our
early up tomorrow for Moreton, Island.
