Sea Day - Jan 13

Jan 13 – Sea Day

Today originally was a visit to San Juan del Sur, Nicaragua, but we found out before the cruise that it had been dropped due to political reasons.

Today was a repeat of yesterday with the exception that we skipped Bingo. There were lots of turtles seen today. Some people said they saw dolphins. This area is famous for the large turtle population. I think there were jellyfish reported as well. At breakfast we saw large flocks of Masked Booby's.

We went to the Pub Lunch again. They have 2 menus that they rotate so today’s, still had the fish and chips, but everything else was something different. We have tried quite a few things on both menus in the past. We had 2 orders of prawns and chips and we split the fish and chips. The shrimp were very good, but the fish was a bit greasy, and the fries had been sitting a while. Last time it was the best we have ever had there. Hot and crispy. Still quite good today though!

We went upstairs in search of dessert which continues to disappoint. Nothing chocolate. There were churros that weren’t crispy, but tasty.

We spent the afternoon catching up on computer stuff.

Roy had talked to someone that said we could get an assigned table if we got there right at 5:00 and got it squared away. There was a huge line on the reservations side, but we were able to walk right in. The other 4 at the table had gone to Sabatini’s for dinner, but they did seat 2 other couples with us. Interesting people. The waiters were also really good, so we were able to make the early show.

Tonight, was a great act. Naathan Phan was Vietnamese but spent 10 years (I think) in Scotland. He was a comedic illusionist/slight of hand magic act. He was on America’s Got Talent. He is new to Princess, so it was nice to see a very new act that was really good.

We then went to the Love Boat Party which was fun to watch. Jaame’s Band played for a while and then the dancers came out and performed. They took 5 couples and had them compete in various games each time one couple was eliminated until they came up with a winner. We stayed after and listened to Jaame’s Band a bit longer before coming back to the room to get our things ready for tomorrow.

Tomorrow is Hautulco and we have a birding tour set up.
