Sea Day – Jan 26

Sea Day – Jan 26

We spent the morning catching up on photos and I had lots to do with the 2 tours that had to be totally redone. (2 guides that wigged out) I have found replacements and I am just firming up the reservations before canceling the other tours booked with ToursByLocals.

We had lunch in the dining room and sat at a table of interesting people. One was a loud opinionated man from Louisiana, that dominated the conversation. Ah well. Meeting all kinds of people is part of the cruise experience.

After lunch it was back to photos and tours. Rome is done now and I'm just waiting for the receipt for the Tauranga tour.

We went to dinner and 4 people were missing from the table and we had a new waiter. UGH. We really liked Ashwin. New guy is from the Philippines, and no one ever came around to take drink orders. His name is Jansen. I hope service improves. We did have 2 other couples that joined the table that were interesting.

We made it to the early show which was David Meyer. We have seen him before, and he is phenominal. He plays an instrument called a xylo-synth. He plays a wide variety of music and he also plays a laser light instrument. His wife Dawn dances with lighted batons and later wearing illuminated wings and hoops on her dress. It was an electrifying act and a real crowd-pleaser. His act was the same as before, but very enjoyable to see again.

It was Australia day and there was an Australia Day party. Unfortunately, it was Grace's Secret performing and they played nothing special for Australia Day. You'd swear she has a different song playing in her earbuds as she moves to a totally different beat than the song being played. Their songs are barely recognizable.

Tomorrow, another relaxing day at sea.
