Sea Day - January 7
We had breakfast in the buffet and then came back and got
ready to go get some sun. Less windy than yesterday so it was enjoyable for the
short time we stayed up there. Came back and showered before going to Bingo.
Unlike yesterday when the room was full there were very few people playing.
Should have upped the odds of winning even if the prizes would be smaller.
However, as luck would have it, one gentleman won EVERY game. The computer had
technical difficulties so the caller called the numbers, but we couldn’t see
the "numbers called" board. Guess it didn’t matter. This guy was playing the
machine and a bunch of paper cards. He said it was his birthday. He also had a
horrible cough and we hoped he wasn’t contagious. We ordered our drinks (diet
cokes) when we got to the Explorer’s Lounge via the Medallion App. We were probably half an hour
early, but we didn’t get the drinks until the first game started. They arrived
warm with covers on them, and he didn’t put a napkin down. (drinks do sweat) I
asked if I could have a glass of ice, a straw and some napkins. He looked
puzzled but got them.
Today we had lunch at Alfredo’s which is held on some sea
days in Sabatini’s Restaurant. Individual wood fired pizzas that were pretty
good. We sat with another couple and a father and son that were only on until LA.
We went to the buffet afterwards to grab some dessert.
We had dinner with Roy & Rondi and again despite asking to share a table with others they sat us at a table for 4. We did have a better waiter, but still couldn't make it to the early show.
We watched the "Yes No" Game for a short while until it was time to go to the evening show.
The show tonight was another comedian, Gary Delena. We have seen him before, and the material hadn't changed much. None-the-less, we laughed. They seated in front of me must have dumped an entire bottle of cologne on and I spent most of the show breathing with my hand in front of my nose.
There is a pretty talented group of musicians on board named Jaame's Band. They are from Malaysia and have quite a wide range of singing types. We have caught them in the Atrium and in the Explorer's Lounge.
Since we had to go to the late show it was pretty much time to call it a night.
Tomorrow our port of call is Cartagena, Colombia.
